DataWalk, a leading provider of the graph AI-enabled analytics platform, today announced the appointment of Peter Sofarelli as Vice President of Worldwide Sales. Sofarelli, a seasoned sales leader with over 20 years of experience in enterprise analytics and AI, joins DataWalk from SymphonyAI, where he led the North American Sales team. Prior to that, he was the head of North America Sales at Quantexa.
Peter will be responsible for scaling DataWalk's global sales organization and driving the next phase of the company's growth.
The appointment marks a strategic milestone for DataWalk, signaling a shift towards accelerated commercialization. The company has successfully secured initial contracts with premier enterprise clients, validating the platform's unique capabilities in solving complex data challenges for the world's most demanding organizations.
"Bringing Peter on board is a pivotal step in DataWalk's evolution," said Paweł Wieczyński, CEO of DataWalk. "We've proven our platform's unique value with some of the world's most sophisticated clients. We have the technology and the marquee Customers; now is the time to build a world-class go-to-market engine to bring DataWalk's overwhelming advantage to the broader audience. Peter's deep expertise in our specific domain, his track record of building high-performing teams at companies like Quantexa, SymphonyAI, Tibco, and SAS, and his understanding of our Customers' challenges make him the ideal leader to spearhead this acceleration."
Peter Sofarelli brings extensive experience in leading sales for technologies with enterprise analytics and AI applications, particularly in the financial services and government sectors. His leadership will be instrumental in promoting the DataWalk platform and expanding its global footprint.
"My journey to DataWalk began from the perspective of a competitor," said Peter Sofarelli, the new VP of Worldwide Sales. "I first heard about the company when my team was trying to engage with a major U.S. bank — which turned out to be a DataWalk customer — and I couldn't believe what they had achieved with the DataWalk platform. That experience led me to recognize an amazing opportunity: there's a significant gap for an off-the-shelf platform that enables agile graph analytics and knowledge graph creation at enterprise scale. I am incredibly excited to join now and help lead that charge."
This appointment follows a period of significant momentum for DataWalk, marked by key enterprise client wins and a successful capital raise. The company is strategically investing to expand its go-to-market capabilities, capitalizing on the growing demand for powerful and cost-effective analytics platforms.
DataWalk is a company that has developed its own technology - a graph analytics software platform. This platform enables organizations analysis of large data (billions of objects) from various sources on knowledge graphs. Combined with advanced AI techniques and LLM tools (like ChatGPT), it represents an unprecedented weapon in the fight for global security. The DataWalk platform is used for investigative analytics in the public and financial sectors, including combating crime (US agencies), ensuring international security, identifying abuses and irregularities (central administration, large corporations, international sports federations, financial institutions, including banks and insurers), and counteracting money laundering (regulators and financial institutions). DataWalk successfully competes with global giants, including participating in the largest IT contract in the history of Poland, a $500 million project for the analytical modernization of the US Department of Justice.
